Daughter of Three Rashtrapati award winner (Hindi Sahitya) Father, Dr. M.B.SHAH.

AND Mother, light music Singer Rajashri shah.

I grow up in an artistic family. Influenced both my mom and dad. I love nature and its views

Their beauty touches my heart in a way. I cannot live without that. The beauty I see in the world is inspiring and real.

I have chartered for myself a strong identity within the community of abstract art’s, right from childhood. My inclination towards fine art and the drive within me to excel amongst my peers has put me on platform where challenges have become a part of my life.

With Strong will power and creative exuberance has now ventured into the field of Abstract paintings are a reflection of classical mix of the dance form, modern and natural arts.

My style has evolved from formal realism, using acrylic and oil paints to depict people and common object o a more painterly style using a wider array of colour.

Currently, my abstract painting consists of surreal imagery combined with musical compositional elements. I use mixed media acrylic and oil painting and found object, to enhance the visual and textural aspects of my painting.

I paint daily and involve myself various art related activity.

Finally, I believe art to be a very powerful form of a self-expression. I like music, literature, historical research. Art offers boundless opportunities for creativity indeed, art represent the pinnacle of human.

About the Artist :

HANSIKA KUMAR MANGWANI

Looking at the scribble (or drawing as it used to be back when I was 3), I
still sit and wonder how I got to where I am.
Still framed and hung on one of my bathroom walls for posterity, the
‘masterpiece’ is a constant reminder of where I’ve begun from and in
turn puts me into thoughts of where I plan on heading to.
After a year of contemplation after the deadly 12th boards, I chose to
pursue my education in Interior Designing, and while I am (still)
struggling with the monotony of 2D, structured and concrete drawings,
it is the feeling of expansion I get while I paint that pushes me on and on.
At some point, I felt like the colours did not to justice to my expression
which is when I sought words, sounds cliché, but it did its job, and over
a period of time, I thought, why, not, write for what I paint, and paint for
what I write.
Which is the exact stage that I am at today…
Still discovering.

ARTIST STATEMENT

Exploring the emotional links between Painting and Poetry is like
picking two different flowers and putting them together in a bouqueteach
being complete in itself, but adding extra value to the other.
Art has always let me wildly interpret life situations, whilst Poetry has
its way of taming me- allowing me to reach midway.
The elaborate description through Words creates a concrete, rhythmic
structure, while the Colours add to the primary intention of the piececreating
visuals for the words, containing an aesthetic symphony for
the eye.
Colours and Words, together, they allow me to link my imagination to
the reality, that help me comprehend state of affairs the way they are.
They both come to life together, twins of the same mother. They
develop together.
Each piece, of both, Art and Verse, is an extension from the pastwhere
I’ve come from, where I am, and where I’m headed to.
My creations are direct invitations to the viewers, to look into my
space, interpret it and then reflect it as their very own- a process of
introspection.

About the Artist :

I am Ashna Nagpal(Ph.D, M.Sc, B.Sc, Dt)
Scientist by profession and Artist by passion.
Immitating nature on canvas and making it come come alive has always been my dream since childhood.
I started drawing when i was 5 year old & this passion will go on & on forever.

1. A POETRY

The nerves, the emotions that rhyme & the unhindered flow of ever word. The sketch is an attempt to bring poetry live in the form and shape of a beautiful creation of God and that is ‘Horse’.
2. The Pride
It signifies the essence of emerging triumphant against all odds. The high, the pride, the self reassurance & perseverance to emerge victorious time & again.
3. The Tamed
Taming has been the dream of man since evolution. It symbolises the very contrast by bringing upfront the requirement of men & beauty of nature.
4. The Victory Lap
The joy, the adrenaline rush & the willingness to show off with elan for admiration of everyone and that is an amalgamation of both joy & anger.
5. The Warriors
The three shades absolutely represent the three traits of a warrior viz Determination undeterred by any other shade ie black. Purity of ambition ie white and absolving of ownself for the greater cause of the society ie grey.
6. The bond of love
The precious bond of love of a ‘mother’ & ‘ daughter’. The story of a restless soul and a wild heart.
7. A Subtle dream
The effervescent & yet predominant conscience of every human being that transforms into a subtle dream. Taming them together to achieve the ultimate is the one task that is not only a dream in itself but also is a Dream.

Dinesh Baukhandi

About the Artist :

Dinesh Baukhandi,

I was born in Aug 1953, in Saur village of Uttrakhand. My qualification is DME (mechanical).

My father late Shambhu Prasad Baukhandi senior artist in Archealogical Survey of India worked in National Muesum New Delhi was transfered to Ajanta Caves where he worked for more than 30 years. His reproduction of Ajanta Paintings are in display in National Muesum.

After my father’s death in 1992 the canvas,paints and brushes inspired me to take on my fathers work. I grew up watching his style of work and myself painted outlines for him. I started painting as a hobby and since 18 years I have been working on Ajanta paintings.

My paintings were displayed in many exhibitions.

MARUTHI PAILA

About the Artist :

Abstract art has come into being as a necessary expression of the feelings and thoughts of our own age, it has added new dimensions to creative painting

Abstract art provides scope to play with lines and colours. It’s personal and subjective and Maruthi Paila explores those possibilities of expression in myriad ways. Moving away from figurative imagery, Maruthi dwells in the non-representational world for his maiden solo show. The acrylics and small format works are geometric, with criss-cross lines forming haphazard, asymmetrical patterns perhaps resulting from an outpour of the artist’s emotions. It’s like a mosaic of lines and colours. Yet, there is a sense of harmony in the composition.

Devoid of specific shapes and forms technically, abstract art can still have some perceptible formations. Rather, it allows the viewer to figure out and deduce ‘shapes’. So, even in the course of abstraction, Maruthi has provided some visual clues to the viewer’. Some of his works have a ‘stained glass’ look with a misty ‘cloud-like’ effect created on them. In the small paper works one can glean some kind of formations and the artist has managed to create an eerie effect in a few of them. In the larger works one can surmise that in between the columns of smoke or mist are bits of coloured windows akin to stained glass windows. The colours used in the works range from bright to dark and dense. In some the lines may look entangled, free, knotty or in a maze.

Maruthi has been seeking to find a language of his own working and exploring different types of imagery, figurative and non-figurative – a continuous exercise to develop his visual vocabulary for growth and perfection. Leonard Brooks said “Abstract art…is part of the constant change and vital searching that energizes every true art.” Maruthi’s quest in a sense has been a soul-stirring one where he has touched the depths and highs of emotions.
